Major Incident Management Assessment
Know where your incident program is strong, where it is exposed, and what to improve first.
A structured review of the operating practices behind major incident response, designed to give technology leadership a clear maturity view and prioritized path forward.
Assessment lens
Evidence-informed review across incident command, escalation, communication, restoration, post-incident practices, governance, and metrics.
What we evaluate
A practical view of how major incidents are actually managed.
The assessment looks beyond the documented process to understand the operating reality across leadership, incident coordination, technical response, and post-incident follow-through.

A good fit when
Your organization knows the process needs work but needs an objective starting point.
- Major incidents feel overly dependent on individual heroics.
- Response roles or severity criteria are interpreted differently across teams.
- Leadership is dissatisfied with incident communications or visibility.
- PIRs happen inconsistently or corrective actions lose momentum.
- The organization is growing, changing tools, or formalizing ITSM practices.
- You need an independent view before investing in a broader transformation.
Common questions
What this assessment is, and what it is not.
Does CrestVant need access to sensitive production systems?
Not by default. The assessment is primarily focused on process, operating practices, evidence, stakeholder experience, and governance. Any information request should be limited to what is necessary for the agreed scope.
Is this a ServiceNow implementation engagement?
No. The assessment can consider how an ITSM platform supports the process, but it is not positioned as platform configuration or technical implementation work.
Will the assessment automatically include implementation?
No. The assessment is designed to stand on its own. Follow-on advisory or improvement work can be scoped separately if CrestVant and the client determine that additional support makes sense.
Can the scope be adjusted for a smaller organization?
Yes. The assessment structure can be right-sized to reflect the complexity of the environment, number of stakeholders, and available evidence.
